Formosa Azalea
Formosa Azalea is the prized trophy of Southern Heritage Landscapes. Formosa’s are large evergreen, vigorous, shrubs that grow 6-8 feet tall and wide. Though the bloom time only lasts a few weeks in early-mid spring, mass plantings put on a spectacular show, with the flowers measuring 3–4 inches wide, and coming in an array of colors such as light pink, dark pink, red, and light purple. George Tabor & G.G. Gerbing Azalea
George Tabor and G.G. Gerbing are Louisiana Super Plants. Being very similar to Formosas in size and growth habit, but with a lighter green foliage, these shrubs are proven performers in the landscape. The flowers featured on George Tabor are a light pink with darker pink blotches in the throat, whereas G.G. Gerbing possesses pure white blooms with splotches of light yellow to green in the throat.
