Mire Residence

The Mire residence pairs contemporary architecture with a landscape that reinforces the home's clean lines across a large property. Land Architecture created the preliminary design, and EdenScapes developed it further in-house before installing the sod, artificial turf, flower beds, and plantings. The beds close to the home soften the architecture without competing with its modern character. Ornamental grasses, shrubs, and flowering plants add movement and texture, and defined bed lines with repeated plantings carry the home's structured look into the garden.

From there, the landscape opens outward. New sod creates a continuous green backdrop around the house, a calm, open contrast to the home's strong geometry and dark exterior. Artificial turf in the main outdoor living areas makes crisp transitions at the hardscape and visually ties the pool and gathering spaces to the rest of the property. Concentrating the detailed plantings near the house and letting the lawn sweep out beyond them keeps the interest close to home without breaking up the expansive feel of the site.
