Romero Residence

The Romero residence was designed by Bask Pools, who also built the pool. EdenScapes handled the landscaping, drainage, irrigation, and lighting, plus an in-ground trampoline for the family. The beds stay clean and structured to match the scale and formal character of the home: low, clipped hedges along steel-edged bed lines, roses and hydrangeas layered behind them, and crape myrtles set along the front of the house. The planting palette is restrained so it softens the white exterior without competing with the architecture. It carries around the sides of the home so the property looks unified from every angle, and the drainage and irrigation below keep it healthy year-round.

After dark, the landscape lighting changes the whole property. Downlights in the porch ceiling and eaves wash the facade. Uplights trace each column, and accent lights pick out the brick garden walls, the gate, and the trees around the house. The lighting brings out the height and symmetry of the home while lighting the entry for everyday use. The result is a landscape that supports the architecture during the day and becomes a feature of its own at night.
