Reed Residence

The Reed property isn't a primary home. It's a family gathering place where friends and family come together on weekends, holidays, and celebrations, so it was designed for gatherings from the start. EdenScapes built the outdoor spaces around the pool: a custom timber pergola, a fire pit, a sugar kettle fountain, plus the landscaping, lighting, irrigation, and drainage. The heavy timber pergola anchors the space as the main covered area for shade, seating, and entertaining. The fire pit gives guests a place to gather on cooler evenings. It sits on aggregate bound with Gravel-Lok, which is hard like concrete but fully permeable, so rainwater soaks straight through instead of puddling. Nearby, the repurposed sugar kettle bubbles with moving water, a distinctive focal point that adds character next to the clean lines of the pool.

Shrubs and flowering plants frame each area and soften the transitions between them. Stonework, decorative gravel, and defined bed lines keep the look finished and the upkeep low. Because the property sees steady use, the work below ground mattered just as much: a full irrigation system keeps the plantings healthy, and the drainage improvements keep water from standing around the gathering areas. After sunset, custom LED lighting picks out the pergola, fire pit, fountain, pathways, and plantings. Along with the glow of the fire and the sound of the fountain, it makes for a warm setting for the cookouts, holidays, and time together the property was built for.
