Hill Residence

At the Hill residence, EdenScapes partnered with fellow local landscaper Kutz Unlimited to create a gathering space behind the pool for family barbecues, entertaining, and evenings around the fire pit. Kutz Unlimited designed and installed the landscaping, and EdenScapes designed and built the custom gazebo. The structure is built from large custom timbers, with custom powder-coated steel plates that show off the joinery instead of hiding it. Exposed rafter tails and detailed timberwork along the roofline give it a handcrafted look from every angle. Under the roof, the exposed ceiling and beams keep the craftsmanship on display, especially where the main structure branches off toward the grill area. The timbers are stained to match the home's existing patio.

Travertine piers give the timber columns a substantial base, and a paver patio finishes the ground beneath and around the gazebo. Full electrical service powers the lighting and fans. Gutters and a sub-surface drainage system handle the water. Because the gazebo was added to an established backyard, we also modified the existing irrigation and landscape lighting so that everything works together. The result is a gathering space built around the way this family cooks, entertains, and spends time together outdoors.
