Eddy Residence

The Eddy project, designed by landscape architect Lue Svendson, turned a compact backyard into a lush, detailed garden that makes use of every part of the property. EdenScapes installed the landscaping, irrigation, lighting, and drainage in the backyard, along with work in the front yard. Every planting choice complements the home's traditional architecture. Layered beds of hydrangeas, shrubs, and flowering plants add color, height, and texture, and their curved lines make the most of the planting space around the edge of the yard.

The plantings frame several small spots to gather, giving each one a tucked-away garden feel and inviting people to move through the whole space. Below the surface, the irrigation and drainage keep the garden healthy through Louisiana's heat and heavy rains. After dark, the lighting brings out the plantings and pathways. Our team has maintained the property for about five years, which keeps the garden looking established and well cared for as it matures.
