Drew Residence

Designed by landscape architect Ali Pugh, this corner-lot backyard was built from the ground up as a complete outdoor living space for recreation, relaxation, and modern design. The pool, lawn, and play areas were planned as one connected space, with clean lines and consistent materials throughout. The custom pool is the centerpiece. A raised spa gives it a strong architectural focal point, and several water features add movement and sound. Lighting brings it to life after dark, while crisp coping and careful transitions carry the home’s contemporary style into the yard.

Low-maintenance artificial turf defines each activity area, and large-format stepping stones set into the turf form geometric paths between the pool, the home, and the rest of the yard. A custom basketball court beside the pool gives the family a dedicated place to play and adds a distinctive design element of its own. Decorative stonework, textured concrete, and precise edging keep each transition clean. Perimeter plantings add privacy and soften the strong geometry, making room for swimming, playing, and gathering within one cohesive design.
